Researcher Akemi Oishi has been selected for 「The 40th Basic Medical Research Grant 」from the Kanbara Ichiro Foundation for Medical Research and Education.

Granted Research Project:
“Elucidation of Intracellular Recycling Control Mechanisms in Pulmonary Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Disease”

This research focuses on intracellular recycling mechanisms, which play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary NTB. The goal is to elucidate their control mechanisms at the molecular level. These findings are expected to deepen our understanding of the disease and lead to the identification of novel therapeutic targets.

Encouraged by this grant, we will continue to advance infectious disease research that bridges basic science and clinical practice.
