10.Development of Microbiological Diagnostic Systems, Application of Digital Technology to Diagnostics, and Analysis of Infectious Disease Immunology

Research Overview

Due to our affiliation with the Department of Clinical Laboratory Medicine, we are conducting research primarily focused on diagnostic and testing aspects within infectious diseases. Our work includes epidemiological surveys of drug resistance using clinical isolates and elucidating new mechanisms of drug resistance. Additionally, under the banner of Digital Microbiology, we are collaborating with industry and academia to develop novel pathogen diagnostic systems utilizing image analysis technology and AI. We are also involved in vaccine-related evaluation research using clinical testing systems.
